Rick Wiles was elected President at our annual meeting, adding to his already very busy schedule. As owner and instructor of Artesia Family Wellness Center for the past four years and Artesia Family Fitness Center for the past 20 years, as well as a fire fighter and EMT-I for 30 years, he has been in the health care field for much of his life. Rick brings his skills and experience as a personal trainer and fitness instructor into his teaching at his massage school and into his volunteer life in AMTA, focusing his efforts on increasing our chapter’s involvement in sports events and reaching out to other health care providers such as EMTs.

Stacy Green, our 1st Vice President, has been an AMTA member since 2004. She maintains an active practice at the Wellness Center in Artesia, where she is also an instructor and the Director of the Massage Therapy school, which she co-founded with Rick Wiles.  Stacey is a natural to be the team leader for our chapter’s public relations efforts; she is also interested in recruiting more new student members. She is currently working part time at a physical and occupational rehabilitation center and maintains a private practice.  Stacy has been practicing therapeutic massage for 6 years, including La Stone and Lomi Lomi.  Stacy is currently the Newsletter Editor and would love to hear about massage news around the State.

Amy Zampella has been practicing massage for 12 years and is the owner of Heartline Wellness Center in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from Crystal Mountain after moving to the state from New Jersey.
Amy is a certified pregnancy and post-partum massage therapist, and enjoys working with clients post injury/surgery and in healing repetitive use injuries. Amy is honored to be in this profession and looks forward to networking with other therapists around the state to promote the benefits of massage. Amy enjoys road cycling and cooking with her husband Drew. Amy is currently the Website Editor.

Joshua attended Artesia Health and Wellness Center's Massage Therapy School and graduated in June of 2008.  After graduation, Joshua achieved State licensure and opened Patton Therapeutic Massage. Joshua specializes in deep tissue work, chronic pain, relaxation, hot stone, prenatal, chair, and sports massage.  He looks forward to pursuing certification in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in the near future.  Joshua enjoys spending his free time with his family.

Bruce Crawford is has been practicing massage part-time since 2009. He has been a computer programmer and systems analyst since 1983 with a BS degree in Computer Science from UNM.  He graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) to enhance his desire to help others.  He has also been an assistant gymnastics coach at Eldorado HS and helped to run a triathlon club.  Bruce enjoys many different physical activities and helps his wife Sue, son Ian and nephew Carl with gardening raising animals (and kids) among many other activities.

Dan R Barrow just completed a third year (this time) of service as president of the chapter, having served in the early 1990’s as well. He and his wife Virginia are active neuromuscular therapists, formerly owning NMT Associates in Albuquerque, which they co-founded in 1997. Dan and Virginia’s son-in-law is newly licensed massage therapist in NM. They have a standard poodle named Alex who accompanies them on some of their volunteer events. Dan is also very active at the national level, serving on the Governance Committee, as the Chair of the Commission on Candidacy, and again this year will be the Moderator of the House of Delegates in Minneaopolis.
